A beautiful cactus that comes in all sizes, the Golden Barrel (Echinocactus grusoni) is a great option for a sunny, south-facing spot in your home. It thrives with bright, direct sunlight for many hours of the day. It also needs a very well-draining soil to succeed. Water very infrequently - once a month or less - and never let them sit in water (they are prone to root rot). They also love low humidity environments. 

They are slow growing, but eventually they can grow to be over 3ft tall!
