Thrives in very bright light and full sun. They love being outside in the spring and summer. Water thoroughly and then allow to dry out completely in between waterings. Always use gloves when handling a Prickly Pear cactus! They look safe, but the petals are covered in tiny spikes that will cover your hands if you touch it without gloves.
